There are a couple of things going on this weekend at LFC that I feel needs your attention.
 
The first one is a very important meeting on Saturday morning (Jan 23rd) concerning Children’s Ministries.  The meeting starts at 9:00 and will conclude before noon.  Refreshments will be served during a break.
 
The question you may be asking is who should attend this meeting?  It is open to anyone, but I would strongly encourage everyone who has children at LFC to attend.  I would also like to encourage anyone who currently works with LFC children or may be considering working with the children in the future to attend.  You will not be making any commitments to anything by coming to the meeting.  A good attendance will demonstrate not only the churches concern for our own children and other children at LFC, but even for children in the Lovejoy community. I know that it seems like we are asking a lot when we ask you to come out on a Saturday morning.  Please prayerfully consider making the sacrifice of giving up a few hours of your time, in helping us to prepare for the best possible children’s ministries at LFC.
 
Please call or email me at the church if you will be needing childcare during this meeting.  We are hoping that most of our children’s workers will be able to sit-in on the meeting.  But, we really want you to come and will provide childcare for anyone who needs it.  Just come - Thanks!

The next thing that I want you to be aware of is a very special message that I will present this Sunday morning in the 10:30 service.  Last week I started a sermon series that the Lord put upon my heart while I was on a prayer retreat earlier this month.  The first message focused on the great things that God did in “2009.”  This Sunday’s message is going to focus on seeing the vision that God has for us in “2010.”  We don’t all have to see everything the exact same way.  But, we should all desire to see those things that God wants to reveal to us personally as His children.  I feel like this is a very important message that God wants to give the entire church family at LFC.  Please make it a priority to join us for this very special time of praise and worship.
